Introducing Cuckoo for Videos
We’re excited to introduce the latest addition to Cuckoo—AI video localization, built for global marketing and go-to-market teams operating across borders.
Over the past 6 months, our real-time AI translator has helped teams at Snowflake, Weights & Biases, and members of the Magnificent 7 break through language barriers in live events and meetings. But one peculiar use case kept surfacing.
Why videos?
While Cuckoo was originally built for real-time conversations—optimizing the balance between accuracy and latency—we saw more and more teams using it for pre-recorded content. Especially in marketing and GTM teams, this was a workaround to shorten the typical 3–4 week delay between HQ and regional launches.
Teams were manually transcribing English videos, timestamping subtitles, and sending them off for translation—slowing campaigns and creating bottlenecks. Cuckoo’s live translator became a last resort to speed things up. Whether it was a product launch, webinar, or keynote, the pain was the same.

We support 20+ languages—from Japanese and Korean to Vietnamese and Spanish. Product names, tone, and technical terms are translated the way your team would say them, not how a dictionary would. Soon, we’ll also integrate with URLs, team wikis, and help centers to further boost context accuracy.

One of our favorite stories comes from Weights & Biases. What started with live event translation expanded to conferences, internal syncs, and customer calls. Now, they’re using Cuckoo for Videos to localize entire content libraries into Japanese and Korean—all driven by a single marketer on their APAC team.
