Cuckoo provides real-time AI interpretation and AI-powered video localization. Our system processes meeting and event audio/video to generate transcripts, translations, and summaries in multiple languages. We are committed to being transparent about how our AI systems work, what data they process, and the safeguards we apply.

1. PURPOSE OF AI IN OUR SERVICES

We use AI to help global teams communicate and share content across languages quickly and accurately.

  • Transcribe meeting or event audio into text.

  • Translate transcripts and speech into multiple languages in real time.

  • Generate subtitles for videos, with options for editing and export.

  • Summarize meetings and provide context-based notes for participants.

  • Refine translations using customer-provided keywords, glossaries, and documents.


2. DATA PROCESSED BY AI

We do not use any customer data to train proprietary or third party AI models. The AI systems may process:

  • Audio/video inputs (meeting or event recordings, uploaded videos).

  • Transcripts generated from speech-to-text.

  • Customer-provided materials such as glossaries, keyword lists, or reference documents.

  • Basic account data (e.g. username, email) only as required for service delivery.


3. AI MODELS AND METHODS

  • We utilize third-party large language models (LLMs) and speech models, integrated with our proprietary orchestration and quality-control systems.

  • Processing includes transcription, machine translation, contextual adaptation, and formatting.

  • Outputs are optimized through prompts, rules, and safeguards to improve clarity, accuracy, and domain-specific terminology.


4. HUMAN OVERSIGHT

  • Customers may review AI-generated transcripts, translations, and subtitles before final use.

  • Internal teams perform quality testing to measure accuracy and improve system performance.

  • Customers can provide feedback, which we incorporate into updates.

  • Customers can permanently delete meeting data within the service.


5. DATA STORAGE AND RETENTION

  • Meeting transcripts, translations, and video files are stored for service delivery purposes only.

  • By agreement with the customer, all such data may be deleted at any time and will not be further processed once deleted.

  • Processing duration and retention can be set in-app or contractually.


6. SAFEGUARDS AND COMMITMENTS

  • Privacy-first design: No customer data is shared with external AI training pipelines.

  • Security controls: Data is encrypted in transit and at rest.

  • Access restrictions: Only authorized personnel may access data for troubleshooting or support.

  • Compliance: We support customer compliance with GDPR, CCPA, and other applicable regulations.
